A big congratulations goes out to Jon Jones for being promoted to the rank of purple belt!

Jon was presented his purple belt on behalf of all of Taiwan BJJ by Warren Wang, and brown belts Makoto Ogaswara and Chris Ng on October 16, 2009. Jon placed first in the absolute blue belt gi and no-gi divisions in the 2008 FBT Thailand BJJ/Grappling Open and came in third place in the elite no-gi >80kg division at the 2009 FBT Thailand BJJ/Grappling Open. Taiwan BJJ now counts four purple belts among its ranks! Also recognized for their earlier blue belt promotions were Andre Liu, Kurt Scholtes and Dick.
