A big congratulations goes out to Nick and Vova, who were recently promoted to the rank of blue belt. Vova recieved his blue belt from purple belt Vaughn Anderson, while Nick got his from Dustin Thorton, a purple belt under Baret Yoshida.
Both Nick and Vova competed and placed in the 5th Annual (2008) Taiwan BJJ/Grappling Tournament held at the end of August in Taipei. Vova was presented his blue belt at the end of the gi portion of the tournament on August 23, 2008 while Nick recieved his belt on September 4, 2008. A big congratulations also goes out to James, Kurt and John who had three stripes slapped onto their white belts by Dustin on September 4 for also having a terrific showing at the tournament. Congratulations guys!
