The Taiwan Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Academy is dedicated to seeing Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) grow and develop in Taiwan. We are a friendly lot and we go out of our way to welcome anyone who comes through our doors. Taiwan BJJ has schools in Taipei and Taichung.
Taiwan BJJ in both Taipei and Taichung are open every day of the week and on the weekends. Classes offered range from from BJJ (gi and no-gi), Muay Thai, to fitness training with kettlebells and are conducted in both English and Chinese.
Taiwan BJJ is fortunate to have BJJ black belts Makoto Ogasawara and Chris Ng as current resident·instructors at the Taipei school. Purple belts Justin Lee and Demitri Telfair are the instructors at the Taichung school. Classes are conducted in both English and Chinese.
The Taiwan Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Academy has schools located in Taipei and Taichung. The Taipei school is located just a quick seven minute walk from the Taipei City MRT Station near the corner of Keelung Rd. and Chunghsiao E. Rd. in Taipei. The Taichung school is near the Zhong-Shan Medical University, just a five minute walk from the Da-Qing train station, the stop after Taichung Main Station.
The first ever Central Taiwan Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Open (中臺灣巴西柔術公開賽) is going down May 12! It's a great chance to practice competing in a tournament, so come on down and take part!
Taiwan BJJ held it's year-end promotions on December 21, 2012, advancing five guys to the rank of blue and one to the rank of purple after many years of hard work and sweat.
